Notice is hereby given that a PreLAT and Public Test of the voting equipment will be held on Monday March 26, 2024  in the Garfield Town Hall, N12915 W. Hillcrest Rd, Osseo, WI 54758 at 2:00 p.m. The Public is welcome to attend. The town hall is handicapped accessible.

Requa Road & Buffalo River State Trail Concrete Road Crossing Bid Specifications

TOWN OF GARFIELD, JACKSON COUNTY, WI

Contact Town Chairman Steve Dickinsen (715‑533‑3360) with any specification questions.

Project limits:  State Trail Crossing just north of USH 10 on Requa Road.

Concrete Road Crossing:

1. This is a lump sum bid item to include all labor and equipment to sign the work zone, (signs can be borrowed from the Town), excavate, form, pour, and finish a 12’ wide by 30’ long by 8” thick concrete slab road crossing.
2. The contractor will coordinate delivery of the concrete. The Town will direct purchase the polymer macro fiber reinforced concrete. Steel reinforcing will not be required. 
3. Slab grade will match existing state trail. Two full width construction joints will be required to divide the slab into approximate thirds.
4. Bidders shall state their anticipated start and completion date. The Town may award the work to a contractor with a sooner construction date but at a slightly higher total bid price.
5. Bid envelopes shall be labeled “Concrete Road Crossing” and delivered to the following address by 6:00 PM, Wednesday, August 30, 2023:

The Town of Garfield reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any technicalities in any bid, and to select the bid deemed to the Board to be in the best interest of the Town. Bids will be discussed at the Towns September 2023 Regular Monthly Meeting.
